November 26-January 31, 2008 10 Nason Street Maynard, MA This show was produced by gallery proprietor Nanri Tenneyand features the work of a wide range of artists and media. Photography, fabrics, jewelry, and paintings were represented in the show. This is the first time the "Dorje" had been viewed. "Dorje" is the large mandala pictured below. The dorje is a Buddhist talisman and symbol for protection and good fortune.
9 South Main St. Natick, MA This show was is coordinated and sponsored by The Center for the Arts in Natick (TCAN). It is housed in a nicely renovated corner building across from the town green in downtown Natick and is the home of Bakery On The Common. Hot soups, sandwiches and fresh-baked goods fill the air with the scent of home-cooked comfort food. The walls carry my mandalas in a cheerful colorful manner and they feel quite at home next to the bakery counters overlooking the brownies. Can't say I blame them...
Temporarily Permanent Show Massachusetts Ave. West Acton, MA This is the spa that the area's smartest people visit for facials, make-overs and all things beautiful. Make-up, hair-stylists, massages, and much more awaits behind the colorful doors of the MOODZ Spa. Mank thanks to my good friend Karen LaRoche for her kindness and support.
April 1-April 30, 2007 129 Merrimack St. Lowell, MA This wonderful hot spot is one of Lowell's great treasures. The brain child of husband and wife, Matt and Franky Descoteaux, The Mambo Grill serves, bold, delicious Mexican food. The opening reception featured a live performance by the vibrant and ever-so-lovely Valdisa Moura Trio (kisses to Valdisa et al). Great food served by the Mambo Grill's staff made the night an event to remember. The mandalas looked especially comfortable on the refurbished brick walls of the Grill. They vibrated a wonderful sense of color, community, and calm as they filled the room with compassion and unity. This was one of the first shows offered by the Grill, which hopes to continue this wonderful connection for artists and the public. Thank you Matt and Franky!!!
April 1-May 15, 2007 Great Road Acton, MA There are few things as fine as a strong cuppa Joe on any day of the week. The mandalas seem very content in this wonderfully warm spot tucked away in Acton. A wide variety of styles, colors and shapes make for a nice presentation of Chris' artwork. The foot-traffic is heavy and the patrons often stop to read and admire the artwork. Thanks to owner and operator Farzad for his warmth and generosity.

AQUARIUS SANCTUARY 288 Littleton Road
Westford, MA 978-692-8288 Aquarius Sanctuary is a wonderul organization dedicated to opening minds and offering spiritual alternatives. It is the brain child of Pam Ross and is located in Littleton, MA with an accompanying retail store in Westford, MA. This photo was taken at the annual summer holistic fair on the grounds of the sanctuary. Chris set up his "bedouin" tent and pretended to be Lawrence of Arabia for the day, giving astrology readings and selling mandalas.

BOXBOROUGH TEA POT This Tea Pot is neither short nor stout and is the home of Alyssa Held who crafts beautiful French and European culinary delights. Traditional afternoon tea is a favorite and the soups are divine. Chris' work showed especially well here amongst bright sunny rooms with colorful walls and savory smells.
April 17, 2006 - May 26, 2006 AD ZODIAC CAFE 50 Lake Avenue
Worcester, MA The zodiac and mandalas are the two themes that recur in all of Chris' work. So what better place for him to be than in the midst of an astrological cafe! The cafe offers beer wine and has regular poetry readings and live music. An interesting side-note: Chris hung all the artwork for this display in about two hours and he never used a ruler or a level. He still has no explanation as to why it worked....divine intervention?
March 16- April 11, 2006 AD
CONTINENTAL CAFE 5A Spruce Street
West Acton, MA http://www.continentalcafe.net/ The Continental Cafe is the brain-child of Susie Purchon, a lively resident of West Acton. The cafe features home-made muffins, pasteries and the best coffee in town. The walls are bright blue and reflect the distinct European flavor of the owner. The mandala at the center of the photo is a framed original; titled "Divine Intervention." It was purchased by a private patron and is displayed privately. This mandala was originally drawn on a 22" x 22" piece of rough textured paper. Chris cut the four corners and floated them above the main body of the mandala to give it a "live" feel. He then had it framed on black-crushed velvet matte....(NOT to be confused with velvet Elvis type)!
